The beginning of the period mentioned in Matthew 24:29, Mark 13:24,25 and Luke 21:25,26,28

The second part of the prophecy is in Matthew 24:29, to verse 25:46. Verses 29–31 describe this brief period that led to the coming of Christ to organize the judgment of mankind and the great tribulation:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity” (Matthew 24:29–31).

In verses 32–35, Jesus Christ shows that from the moment one enters this short period, the disciples of Christ could consider that the fulfillment of their hope would be near: “Now learn this illustration from the fig tree: Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near. Likewise also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near at the doors. Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away” (Matthew 24:32–35). The generation is obviously not that of 1914, which saw the beginning of the presence of Christ, but rather represents that which witnessed the beginning of the destruction of Babylon the Great. In the parallel gospel narrative of Luke 21:25–28, Jesus Christ gives his disciples this encouragement: “But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near” (Luke 21:25–28). Incidentally, on all of the gospels, especially that of Matthew, when Jesus Christ uses the word “generation”, he does so in a derogatory way (Matthew 11:16–19; 12:38–43; 16 :4; 17:17; 23: 33–36, compared to 24:34).

Since the biginning of this period, there have been exceptional heavenly and atmospheric phenomena that have brought humanity into a reality never observed since then. There are comet falls not far from livable areas, satellites and space waste (falling stars), gigantic forest fires and a rate of pollution in habitable areas that dim the heavenly lights (the sun, the moon and the stars), global warming increases the power of thunderstorms, cyclones, hurricanes, duration of droughts, frequency of floods, tidal waves, in unusual places and latitudes.

However, to know very precisely when began this dramatic period in the history of mankind, described prophetically by Jesus Christ, it is necessary to cross-check it with other convergent prophecies, of Daniel and Revelation. The conclusion of this first part is an introduction to several sections of careful biblical examinations, regarding this period which corresponds to prophetic events and which will end in the great tribulation. There are mainly four (Each of these biblical prophecies has been carefully examined):

- A proclamation of worldwide peace and security before this period of destruction (1 Thessalonians 5: 3).

- The fall and destruction of Babylon the Great (Revelation 14: 8).

- The attack on Gog of Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39).

- The dramatic conclusion of the prophecy of Daniel about the conflict of the two kings (Daniel 11:45 to 12:1).

  • The current appearance of the last king, of the last world power, mentioned in Daniel 8: 23–25.

Other Biblical Articles:

Jesus Christ is the King of the Kingdom of God, in heaven from 1914

According to the prophecy of Daniel chapter 4, King Jesus Christ began to reign in the midst of his enemies since 1914 (Psalms 2). He will come to judge humanity shortly before the great tribulation (Matthew 25:31–46).

Satan the devil and the demons were expelled from heaven shortly before the heavenly enthronement of King Jesus Christ

The careful study of Revelation chapters 11 and 12 shows that this heavenly war took place shortly before the establishment of the Kingdom of God in heaven. The victory has been celebrated with the enthronement of King Jesus Christ.

The Sign Of The End

A biblical study of Matthew chapter 24 and other parallel passages of the gospels such as Mark 13 and Luke 21, makes it possible to differentiate between the “presence” and the “coming” of Christ, and the “end” of this system of things.

The New Jerusalem

The New Jerusalem is the kingdom of God (Revelation 21:2). The biblical expression “New” leads us to understand, according to what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24:2, that the current Jerusalem will disappear at the great tribulation.

Peace and security

This worldwide declaration took place on March 6, 1991, by the speech on the “New World Order”. It seems to be the beginning of the time corresponding to the description of Christ, in Matthew 24:29.

The Fulfillment of the Prophecy of Ezekiel, Gog of Magog

The coalition of nations currently attacking the people of God comes from the territorial areas corresponding to “Japheth”, Russia, China some Asian countries, as well as “Cham”, corresponding to some African countries where Christians suffer from severe persecution.

The Prophecy of Daniel of the Two Kings

The Study of the Prophecy of Daniel chapters 11 and 12, about the outcome of the conflict between the king of the north and the king of the south, provides a better understanding of the dramatic events that are currently taking place in the Middle East.

Babylon The Great

It is at the same time a “political” and a “religious” worldwide kingdom, because it symbolizes the human sovereignty which challenged the sovereignty of God on earth.

The Great Tribulation

It is the “end” and the definitive destruction of the present system of things, according to Matthew 24:21 and Daniel 12:1.

In Only One Day

According to the prophecy of Zechariah 14, that the great tribulation will last only one day, in Ethanim, 10 (Tishri) (Jewish Biblical Calendar (September/October)) (Revelation 11:19).

The Planetary Jubilee

The great tribulation will also be the beginning of a planetary jubilee, Ethanim, 10 (Tishri).

The Last King

According to the Prophecy of Daniel 8:23–25, there is the description of the last king (his face and behavior), in the time just before the Great Tribulation.

The cemetery town of Hamonah

The prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is the description of what will happen soon after the great tribulation.
